a) let A be an n x n matrix. show that A+A^T is symmetric and A - A^T is skew-symmetric.

b) use part a) to show that any n x n matrix can be written as the sum of a symmetric matrix and a skew-symmetric matrix.

c) Show that if A is symmetric and B is skew-symmetric, and AB=BA, then AB is skew-symmetric
