The lysosome is a membrane bound organelle found in animal cells that are capable of breaking down a variety of biomolecules. Normally the pH inside a lysosome is around 5. A) Why would this be beneficial to its function? B) What would happen to the function of the lysosome if its membrane was disrupted?
