I need help understanding how the work equation was gotten in step 4. I have tried reading my textbook yet still can't seem to fully understand how you arrive at this equation. Can someone please explain to me (in words please) how we get this? I also need help understanding the signs (+/-) for each term in the equation i.e. why is (mb)gs negative while the rest of the terms are positive? Please let me know what topic in the chapter I can refer to for these answers. I will really appreciate it.
