How do I solve this problem. A car travels 11.5km due north andthen 35.2 km in a direction of 44 degrees west of north. Find themagnitude of the car's resultant displacement. Answer in units ofkm. Then calculate the direction of the car's resultantdisplacement, measured counterclockwise from the northerlydirection. Answer in units of degree.

I used the pythagorean theorem.
35.2 squared + 11.5 squared = 1371.29
square root of answer is 37.03093302 km, 40 degree
What am I doing wrong?
