A .5 m length of rigid metal rod is connected through two springs ( with 10 N/m spring constants) perpendicular to the rod at either end, to a circuit that supplies 2.5 A of current through the wire. If the rod is perpendicular to a uniform 2 T magnetic field, find the distance each spring is stretched. What force is the origin of the work done to stretch the springs?
