"1000g of water at 15 degrees Celsius is mixed with 200g of ice at0 degrees Celsius. Predict the final state - Temperature and Phases- of this system. State assumptions." Given is the heat capacity ofwater (1.00 cal/g/C) as well as Lf (80 cal/g).
So far we assumed that the ice is all solid ice and the system isthermally isolated so our equation equals 0. We also assumed thatthe heat capacity of ice, being half of that of water, is 0.50cal/g/C.
