In a refrigerant recycling system, R134a is purified using a simple distillation process in which a heating plate is submerged in a pressurized reservoir which boils and evaporates the R134a, as shown in the figure. This recycling unit is made up of a square-based reservoir with a side of 25 cm, a pipe and a level valve into which the refrigerant fluid is introduced and its level is maintained constant as the condensate is removed. The refrigerant vapor is condensed by a slightly inclined copper plate placed on the top of the device and collected in a tray. The copper plate is externally cooled by liquid water at 25°C that flows at 3m/s. Determine:

The saturation temperature and mass flow rate of refrigerant condensate for the heating plate power 500W;

Construct a graph of the saturation temperature and the mass flow rate of refrigerant condensate as a function of the heating plate power ranging from 100 W to 1000 W.
