Document Summary

Musi exam: describe two important connections or similarities between early u. s. and early u. k. punk, and two important differences between them: Warhol (usa) and mclaren (uk) were very different in personalities, but their interest in radical art, fashion and music were similar. Two differences between them is the sense of fashion and musical style. Uk punk malcolm mclaren saw punk as more of a fashion statement and tried to make it more of a visual aesthetic. Us punk andy warhol had no emotions towards art and his artwork was abstract with no explanation it was just about the artwork itself. The uk punk also had short hairstyles and usually spiked up. Us punk was often short hairstyles which replaced the long-hair hippie look. The us punk music was very fast (for the time) and it was based around simple riffs. The songs were short and had a pop-like vibe with a catchy melody and a lot of hooks.
