Systematic study of humankind in all times and places. Can be the study of people anywhere in the world. Study them to understand how poverty and racism and where they grew up shaped their choice to sell crack and join gangs. We think that our bodies are separate from our minds. Japanese think the body and mind is one. Therefore they don"t do transplants because it isn"t right and its like killing the person. Anthropology: do fieldwork and long term studies and become apart of the people before they conclude something. 2: commitment to holism: work with other specialists to get a better complete understanding of a situation. No anthropologists are experts in all four disciplines. Experience, shared and passed on: includes: meaning people give to things, events, and people, we have similar experience (live and death) but we do things differently within that time. How we meet our biological needs is culture.
