Document Summary

Everything is a possibility, nothing is actually fixed. Our mental representations of the world is relatively fixed: beliefs, attitudes, values, pieces of knowledge, and qualitative schema for interpreting complex things like emotions/feelings. Brains use symbolic representations of everything material in the real world. Brain translates every input into some abstract symbol language of the brain. All that can be guaranteed is a well-defined symbol. If you can define a symbol well enough and most/all people interpret it the same way, the symbol is conventional. Effective communication is picking the right symbols that will be optimally intelligible and understandable to whom you"re communicating so that you create the right image. Image is a synonym for those symbolic representations. We live in a world of necessary shadows and illusions. We are more severe on others than ourselves: we blame others for what happens to ourselves.
