Mmedia 1a03: the greater the proportion of online interactions, the lonelier you are, loneliness is certainly not something that facebook or twitter or any of the lesser forms of social media is doing to us. Mmedia 1a03: war and the fear of war have always been considered the main incentives to technological extension of our bodies. In the electric age we wear all mankind as our skin: body and mind want to isolate the pain, letting go is how fundamental our minds work, tend to hide away pain because its scary. No need to call sherry turkle: how people tend to want to text or message rather than to call and avoid the hassle of going through emotional disturbance. It is a place to hide : people feel protected and less burdened by expectations, succumb to its illusion of privacy, on screen, people have a chance to write yourself into the person you want to be.
