Our adaptive mental process all evolved though natural selection. Emerge in development due to an activation of genes in interaction with relevant aspects in the environment. Arise, become differentiated, and maintain complex functionality because of natural selection. Natural selection has formalized by charles darwin and alfred r. wallace: one of the 4 basic mechanisms of evolution, the others are mutation, genetic drift, migration.
