Came into existence because it was british invention to stop brazil and argentina con ict over main waterways: ethnic makeup! Population 1963= 2. 6 million/ 2013= 3. 4 million! Mostly europeans with few mestizos and fewer africans! Half of the population is in the capital (primate city)!
