It is not so much the kind of person a man is, as the kind of situation in which he nds himself that determines how he will act (milgram, 2004) A set of beliefs, values, and attitudes shared by most members of that community. A way a person identi es himself or herself. Are those in which individual goals and wishes are prized above duty to and relations with others. Are those in which harmony with one"s group is prized above individual goals and wishes. A sociocultural perspective suggests we would be well-advised to: Be aware of the possibilities for misunderstandings. Attitudes: relatively stable and enduring evaluations of things and people. The affective component: how we feel toward the object. The behavioural component: how we behave toward the object.
