Psyd: focuses on being a consumer of information and research while honouring the skills as a clinician. Psychiatrist: tend to do more treatment using pharmacology and sometimes less training in a psychological treatment and therapy. Social worker: work with people who have a variety of mental illnesses, can provide therapy but not diagnosis. Counselling psychologist: help people adjust with certain issues (ie. career counselling) Clinical description: symptoms and diagnostic criteria including the individuals thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
