A good id (identification) should be: a paragraph long (about 100-150 words, contain complete sentences, cover 4 points, what/who (define), when/where, how/why (we care, significance (in this case for the study of asia or for the study of. *try and bring out the most important aspects of the topic rather than less meaningful. (so prioritize the fact/idea you include). You can do this by using simple techniques of compare and contrast, or by showing contradictions, or highlighting how you point is different from commonsensical ways of thinking about the topic.
