Document Summary

Anthropometric is the measurement of people and refers to methods of measuring physical and mental variation in humans. Intelligence the ability to think, understand, reason and adapt to or overcome obstacles. Mental age the average intellectual ability score for children of a specific age. Standford-binet test is a test intended to measure innate levels of intelligence: binnet believed his test as a measure of a child"s current abilities, terman and others believed it was a measurement of innate capacity. William stern invented the iq and terman adopted it. Intelligence quotient is calculated by taking a person"s mental age and dividing it by their chronological age and multiplying it by 100 or (m/c)*100. Telling someone that they are 3 years behind their mental development is more optimistic sounding than telling someone they are 30 points below average. Deviation iq is used for adults when they take the iq test because the usual test would show them getting stupider as they age.
