There has been 5 massive extinctions, that all occur rapidly. More and more species are going extinct per year. This sixth" current extinction is because of human activity. Conservation biology is driven by science, politics, and activism. population ecology is at the core of conservation biology, while also being incorporated with genetics, physiology, evolution, and behaviour. Our approach will be the declining population paradigm . This is done by: understanding the ecology, hypothesising potential causes, testing them with experiments. Although problems are huge across the world, the science is fairly straightforward. Literature should always be inspected carefully, based on who is funding research. Politicians make decisions and structural framework in which we work. Policy and legislation can limit what is done for conservation. Sometimes this can be beneficial, sometimes this isn"t.
