Bias in species identification and description: bias in interest, terrestrial, plants, fish, and shelf-life, but wouldn"t expect because the least interest (fungi and inverts) had reduced shelf life but less interest, now we are better at describing. Problems with nested hierarchy: useful for lay people, but grouping fall apart, made many many years ago, and now they do not nest within each other because of new discoveries and groupings. Should maybe get rid of classes: list factors that influence the diversification rate of clades, and suggest reasons for why these factors are important.
