A time in which the sequence of layers of deposition (layers of strata) was inconsistent. So like, it"s any time that we don"t have super straight lines in the sediment. Def: a break in the deposition of the sedimentary layers (strata) shown by the erosion of one layer followed by the deposition of another. And then a was deposited on top of it. Def: flat strata directly on top of tilted strata. These layers underwent pressure so now they are folded. So, there must have been some erosion that occured on the top of all the layers of rock so they gained a flat surface such that a was able to be deposited horizontally on top of them. Def: the contact b/w metamorphic or igneous rocks and a sequence of sedimentary layers. So like, the curved line f is a nonconformity.
