If we look after smallest unit- the whole benefits (utilitarian) Ex. usa- individuals should be able to take care of themselves- you have the responsibility to look after yourself- supergatory (cannot obligate compassion/care regardless how benefical- but we should do our part and not demand)- focused on individual. Treat similar cases similarly and different cases differently = neither is perfect. What do we have a right to receive. Right to decent minimum: good starting place- certain assumptions are problemetic.
