Libertarian theory: the concept of justice is identified w/ the individual right of liberty; the right of liberty is identified w/ non-interference by others in the choices we make. Nozick"s entitlement theory: robert nozick (1938-2002, a distribution of property in society is just if there is justice in holdings, main idea of libertarianism. Justice in acquisition: a person who acquires a holding in accordance w/ th eprinciple of justice is acquisition is entitled to that holding, concerns appropriation of upheld goods in nature or creation of goods from material in nature. Retrieving minerals, picking apples, working land to grow crops: follows locke. Locke said that by mixing your labour w/ an object in nature that object becomes an extension of your body. B/c you have a basic moral right to your body, you have a basic moral rights to such objects. 1: this right implies a certain conception of liberty. Not freedom to do what we want .
