Be specific: equality of women vs. men guardians. Males and females will be trained the same: they will receive the same education and hold the same political roles. Socrates acknowledges that women are generally physically weaker than men. Women"s education and skills should not be viewed as unequal their skills will be put to use: men and women are along the same natural lines. Women bearing children does not relate to their abilities to become a guardian. Women and men must be nurtured the same. Socrates argues that what a man can do, a woman can do as well: reducing the notion that men are superior to women. Athletically women and men should be trained together. Women can be guardians as well: a unified city children and adults share everything in common. Everybody shares everybody else: this notion is to protect a unified society.
