Criterion keying determined how the interests of new subjects resembled those of the criterion groups. 1966 there were 399 items related to 54 jobs for men and 32 jobs for women. Items were weighted according to how frequently an interest occurred in a paricular occupaional group as opposed to how frequently an interest occurred in the general populaion.
