WHAT IS SEX?
Gametes
> A sexual act between two (or more) consenting adults that involves oral, anal or vaginal penetration
> Biological identity, what anatomy we possess
> Something we perform, something we do
> Biological sex made up of different aspects, the key ones being:
> Gametes (ova and sperm)
> Chromosomes (contain our hereditary information, we have 23 pairs of chromosomes, one pair being
for sex)
> Hormones (chemical messengers controlling reproduction, estrogen/testosterone)
