Globalization is a clear trend and vital feature of the world in which we live in today. It poses as the recent and increasing strengthening of ties between countries, mainly in the economic sense of international trade and the spread of free market capitalism but also in some social and cultural senses. In spite of this, globalization proves to be unfavourable to the world in which we live in when specifically looking at how globalization affects politics, economics, culture, and conflict. Firstly, in regards to culture, globalization has resulted in the intensification and expansion of cultural flows across the globe. Ultimately leading to hybridization which is the creative and innovative merging of different cultures to create something new and unique. For example, shakira poses as a hybrid model as in her music she mixes culture within her own to form a unique sense of music.
