What control measures to use in the environment. Exposures: stress, cold air or exercise, hot/spicy foods and alcohol, temperature changes, strong odours, allergens!!! Familial predisposition (the allergic triad) 30% chance if one parent and 50% chance if both parents. Having any of allergic rhinitis, eczema, or asthma. Avoid irritants from chemicals (insect sprays), air pollution, smoke (including smoking cessation) What are the drugs that can be used in combination and why (dust trappers), replace old mattress also better sleep: animal allergens: get rid of the pet or stay away from it. If that"s not a feasible option (probably isn"t ) wash them frequently, clean litterbox, remove carpeting: occupational allergens: avoid where possible. Non-allergic causes of rhinitis: sinusitis, drugs, viruses, hormones, anatomical obstruction. The big 3 are sinusitis, viruses, and drug. : the allergic salute pulling their nose up to help breathe. A crease of redness on the nose develops. On the eyes dark circles under the eye.
