Since the last integrated response paper i have learned a great deal about different types of survival. The second part of the first half of the semester was more focused on the non-western survival methods. Through our class discussions, readings, and personal reflection i discovered most of the survival situations in our western society would be a survival of the mind. Once i discovered this i began working on severing the unnecessary complications that my mind manufactures to my outside environment. I believe letting go of these counterfeit feelings and socially constructed manifestations will allow me to become more receptive to the blessings that are presented in my everyday life while also continuing my journey of self discovery. As you bought to our attention in class we live in physical comfort. The comfort we experience is a luxury and is not present throughout all human societies.
