What"s ha(cid:396)d to i(cid:373)agi(cid:374)e is ho(cid:449) the (cid:1007)d o(cid:396)ga(cid:374) looks i(cid:374) the (cid:271)ody (cid:449)ith (cid:396)elatio(cid:374) to the (cid:1006)d image in front of us. We can cut through in 3 different ways: longitudinal, cross-sectional, oblique sections. After we cut through, we stain using different kinds of colors- application of dyes. And then these dyes were used to stain our tissues and this allows us to see things we usually may have not been able to see. We are made of 4 different kinds of tissues entirely: epithelial, connective, muscular, Nervous: a single sheet of epithelial= epithelium. Epithelia are polarized=2 sides that are different from each other (apical and basal surfaces). One end is anchored to the tissues below it (basal) and the other is exposed to the outside surface (apical). Cilia are slightly larger and thicker and show up more in microscopic images.
