Culture is the way we do things here. The difference between the human & the culture lies in the way certain people do things. Forexample: thirst is humane, how every society satisfies theirthirst is cultural. Culture lies in daily practices: cuisine, festivities, dress code, language (identity). Culture is a set of a social practices governed by a set of rules that are inculcated in young children (socialization) by which they will grasp unconsciously what is normal (omissions & commissions). A norm is a rule ora set of rules invented ordedicated by no one but respected by everyone. Culture consists of daily practices & of the material we use to carry out these practices. Cultural studies have revolutionized the way we look at culture. They start by opposing the notion that culture is a "high culture". They considered that culture should be with capital "c" which means all practices throughout society. Forcultural critics, all cultural practices are worth studying.
