Insuring public interest are expressed in government. It is law in action in the form of ordinances, statues, regulations etc Executive function of government to transform polices into action. The different tasks put into jobs for people to fill such as lawyer judge social worker. The managerial aspects of politics is transformed by public administrators into work of government. Privatization: selling government assets railroads, public housing units, private financing toll highways, private provision of service private prison, trash collection. Publicly supported charitable organizations that involve themselves directly in religious, educational, and social welfare programs. (red cross) Private foundations which tend to support other tax-exempt organizations" programs. (bill gates) Vertical: federal, sate, and local gov. compete for authority. Horizontal: state and local government interact with each other.
