Se: hit (heparin induced thrombocytopenia) it is an allergic reaction with a paradoxical occurrence of thrombosis. Used for arterial thrombi as they are formed under more shear condition and tend to have more platelets than fibrin. Se: bleeding, flu-like sx, ha, dizziness, bruising, rash. Action: dissolve clots convert plasminogen to plasmin, which digests fibrin clots.
