What is philosophy for socrates? (death & wisdom) To keep it open ended enough and it will lead to contradictions, but will lead people to question. Hades- gets to continue philosophizing- if i go to hell at least all my friends will be there. Ardent thinks that speech makes humans political beings. The main problem with modern society for arendt is that we are alienated from living a truly public life. Ardent doesnt think that we can define human nature .
