Discussion posts (6 total for semester: (midterm discussion question) now that we"ve been able to look at two of our theologians and see the huge differences in their approaches, i"m curious how their methods strike you. The difference between augustine"s and aquinas"s writings are pretty big. The way the write as well as the way they form their arguments are two completely different processes for each of them. On the one hand, augustine bases almost all of his thought on his own experience. He uses his wrongs and his rights to make a conclusion on what is actually wrong and right. His writing style is more of a flow of ideas written in an essay form rather than in a point by point document. Augustine defines evil as original sin and this original sin is something that he did as a young man.
