Next tuesday, august 26th, is our first class from 9-10:20am. As soon as you can, you need to buy a textbook. They should be available at the school/barnes & noble bookstore by now. You will receive your first reading assignment next week, so make sure you buy this textbook soon. There"s also a second text which is optional. Currently, this second optional text is available only on amazon. com, as the school bookstore does not have it. I"m recommending it because i find it to be a fun book and informative book. It"s not a textbook, actually; it"s a cartoon account of the history of sociology. It will really help you get an idea of what sociology is in a simple and clear way. I strongly recommend it (though, again, it is optional). Again, the first text (kamo, basirico, cashion, and eshleman) is required.
