William james- suggested that psychology was more worthwhile to study the evolution of brain functions (thoughts and feelings) Behaviorism- study of people"s behaviors as a result of their conscious instead of their literal conscious. Begins in 1920s major force in psychology in 1960s. John b. watson (classical conditioning) and b. f. skinner (operant conditioning) dismissed introspection.
