Only four of the following fifteen short-answer questions will be on your first midterm exam, of which you must answer three. The exam will be given on friday, october 9th in class: state and explain the four different senses of moral responsibility. Give an example from the engineering profession (a real or fictional example) where moral responsibility might override legal responsibility. Conscious (act responsible, try and do the right thing) Praiseworthy (one should be deserving of approval) The difference between moral responsibility and legal responsibility is that ethical responsibility is established by society, and legal responsibility is what the responsibility set by the government through various laws. Ethical responsibility is also considered the right thing to do. A circumstance in which it is ok to break the law is when someone is going into labor and you have to drive faster than the speed limit.
