Society creates ways people should behave as individuals based on their social identity. A theory that ideas about identity or reality or normal are created through social processes. Depend on chromosomes, dna, and hereditary genes. Theory that people are born into natural identity categories based on biology. Understand people"s identities by looking at their body. Body determines who you love, how you act. Ex. have straight sex only because that"s how you reproduce, men are aggressive because they have more testosterone. Process: involves multiple patterns of interaction created and recreated constantly in human interaction, create social differences that define woman and man.
