To understand how systems work, we need to conduct 3 different sets of analyses. If you do these correctly, you can predict behavior of stakeholders, competitors, etc. Dominant values and moral of a society. Sport is influenced strongly by this (as a cultural good) Political turmoil (mexico city 1968, brazil 2014 & 2016) Economic policies (sochi 2014 and brazil 2016) Bathroom policy- ncaa revoked all events to avoid looking bad. Stakeholders- people/ group that claim ownership, rights, or interests in a corporation and its activities, past, present, or future. Need a clear understanding of stakeholders" perception and preferences. Must consider all people involved- city, university, groups/ companies. Organization"s success is dependent on the effect on it"s stakeholders. Ultimate goal: maximize engagement, involvement, and efforts of stakeholder groups. Can be used to generate knowledge about relevant actors to understand their behavior, intentions, interrelations, agendas, interests, and the influences/ resources they"ve brought, or could bring, to hear on decision-making.
