They want to discover the natural laws sotheby"s can apply them to soviet so it can function better and more fairly. In the colonies it was a light enlightenment. Franklin is one of the first colonists to start reading about the enlightenment. Grows up in virginia and becomes a surveyer. Applied scientific principles to breed cattle and distill whiskey.
