Character that has hubris ---> violates dike (norm) ----> nemesis ( object/ person put by gods put in your path ) ---> bring ate (ruin) upon themselves. It is not unfair, it is fair. tragic heroes are greater than ourselves and attain arete, excessive pride ate refers to the action done by the hero, usually because of hubris. How your people naturally behave or usually act. The order the hero challenges with their actions. The purification/purgation, come to terms with dying and we pity them, build up of emotions them washed clean/ fine after. Letting go of emotions after, tension is high - back to normal. Impulsive, heroic act that shakes world, cant explain yourself. Revolutionary change, challenges order, arrogance, pushes against & violates order, overreaching and causing destruction. Tragedy+democracy, expressing the minority view, old meets new conflict. Something were forced into, probability that becomes the only way.
