Sexual gender and identity disorder: normal sexual functioning is quite varied across cultures: includes both heterosexual and homosexual relationships with more than 1 lifetime partner, although gender differences in sexual behavior are decreasing. Men are more accepting of premarital sex: dsm-5 sexual disorders, paraphillic disorders (disorder of sexual arousal) A paraphilia is a condition in which a person"s sexual arousal and gratification depend on fantasizing about and engaging in sexual behavior that is atypical and extreme. A paraphilia can revolve around a particular object (children, animals, underwear) or around a particular act (inflicting pain, exposing oneself). Most paraphilias are far more common in men than in women. The focus of a paraphilia is usually very specific and unchanging. Began at 16 yrs old or adolescence. Must be present for full sexual satisfaction for at least 6 months, more men than women. Voyeuristic disorder (voyeurism) start adolescent, chronic, arousal by viewing unsuspecting individuals nude, undressing or engaged in sexual activity.
