Family structures: race (e. g. white woman with black child some ppl might assume child isn"t hers), sexual identity (e. g. in some states, same-sex couples don"t have access to each other"s work benefits) Woman taking the name of her husband, and kids taking that name as well (real-life example: more likely to get questioned when crossing border if child doesn"t share mother"s last name, etc. )
