At the start of the orientation, i was surprised regarding the size of the campus. I was fortunate that my friend introduced me to the edu 065a course. The course is helpful for me to identify several campus resources and what tasks they are doing. There were a lot of campus resources, as well as student-run organizations that were introduced to me throughout the edu 065a course. One of the first campus resources introduced to me through the course was the service for international students and scholars (siss). Siss is one of the organization that is handy for every international student studying in uc davis. At first, i just thought that siss was just responsible for issuing my i20 visa. However, after one of their representative came as a guest speaker to explain the purpose of siss, i get to know a lot of things that i did not get to know before.
