They are backed up by a lot of science. Hypothetical mechanism explanations of how the body is working: on a cold day you shiver. These mechanisms are going to be our so called truths and facts. Life - : kno(cid:449) (cid:449)hat li(cid:448)ing things are (cid:271)ut don"t kno(cid:449) (cid:449)hat life is. We ha(cid:448)e religious, spiritual, legal, and even scientific definitions. Living things, whether they are visible or invisible, they exhibit the following characteristics: metabolism. Living things do chemical reactions inside of themselves. Related to creating molecules in the body or breaking molecules down. Break molecules down in order to generate energy: grow and reproduce, respond to stimuli, some of the stimuli you consciously proceed, generally exhibit homeostasis. Every single organ system is helping to maintain homeostasis, except of the reproductive system.
