ANSC 148 Final: Global Health Group Project
Document Summary
Talking about: different understandings and methods for healing mental health. Question problem: when western biomedical models disrespect, downplay or conflict with traditional or indigenous methods. Each group member is responsible for creating a paper sized assortment of photos+evidence based on their region. Make section for thesis on the poster. We can include a small section to tie it in at the end that involves proposing solutions for incorporating indigenous medicines within our model to be more inclusive of traditional understandings. What to do: mental health practices and how they might conflict with western biomedical models. Pick one piece of evidence you like the most and print out some photos/words for the poster. Or we can meet up and work together to craft it out. Look for 5 pieces of evidence (papers/case studies) that show examples of indigenous. Create paragraphs (50-100 words min) for each piece of evidence you find for the portfolio.
