The scientiic study of how an individual"s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are inluenced by others. Actions and characteristics of others afect our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Other people can persuade you, change the way you think, lie, calm. You don"t want to stick out in a negative way. You can make an attribution for a person"s behavior. Diferent attribution"s can have diferent efects on how you react. Other people can efect how you feel about yourself, can see aspects of yourself on the way other people see you. We do a lot of thinking about others to understand them. What people are like, what people will do, why people behave the way they do, how people feel about you, and how people will react to your behavior. Cultural norms, beliefs, and values shape our social understanding. Implicit attitudes: non conscious attitudes that efect behaviors toward others.
