Come from/raised by others with privilege known as social capital. The minority children felt really out of place in the fancy restaurant and thus sheltered themselves a bit in the experience/ordeal. The kids understood what their social status is (ie. one of the kids accidentally ordered a plate of fish even though he doesn"t like fish and requested they go to mcdonald"s afterwards to get some real food ) The what house, car, paycheck, vacation, etc. Social forces drive people forward as well as keep them where they are known as social stratification. In the 1800s, there was an economic. societal transformation that thus developed inequalities in society. Conflicts of people with a lot of resources vs. the people who don"t. Rise of economic development, the bigger the separation of classes; technology developments didn"t benefit everyone equally o. Bourgeoisie had all the power (resources and power) to progress. Purposely belittled the masses for their own benefits.
