Priority to stuff in lectures, book is only tool to give you a more in depth understanding. Important questions = the ones he asked us to answer in class and stopped. Lecture 1: motivation for software engineering, different disasters, understand what could have happened in a software engineering sense. Lecture 2: what are the prevalent themes and concerns in the software engineering phase, waterfall model, what are the activities that we do, how effort is typically distributed among the different phases among software engineering processes. Lecture 5: cocomo omg, know what basic estimation formulas are, cost factors, 2 other specialty sub models we use - reuse (how to know to use again or make a new one), sizing models.
