Sex is a continuum, and is not dichotomous (intersex) Gender expression: how you act, dress, speak and interact. Gender identity: the gender you identify as your own. Cisgender: when your biological sex matches your gender identity. Transgender: when biological sex doesn"t match your gender identity. Transitioning into biological sex you always were. Gender roles: social expectations and scripts about how one ought to express gender. Is commonly thought of as only the classification of attraction to the different genders. However, is actually made up of three different components: Behavior: who do you sexually engage with. Attraction: who are you sexually/romantically attracted to. Identity: what identity you commonly identify as. Drag queen: political statement on the fluidity of gender (activism) *important to always ask the individual, about identity, sexual orientation. Heterosexual: sexually oriented towards primarily the opposite sex. Homosexual: sexually oriented towards primarily the same-sex. Gay - male attracted to males, sometimes also referring to lesbians.
